1. Control ads that appear on webpages: The following directions help you disable Google Ads based on interest (aka disable online ads that appear based on websites you have visited.) You may not realize, but most of the online ads you see are associated with websites you have previously visited. Google tracks your recent website searches and uses that information to make your online ads “relevant.” You can disable this feature by following these directions. We suggest opting out of “ads based on your interests when signed into Google sites” AND “ websites beyond google.com.”
2. Looking for some school appropriate music to play in class? Check out Vitamin String Quartet, an orchestra group that covers all types of music from current pop and 90’s hits to oldies. There are so many available albums on Spotify, we can’t even count them all. Happy listening!
3. Send a copy of a Google Doc to students as a template: By following these steps, you can prompt a student to make an editable copy of a Google Doc that will automatically save into their Google Drive.
Choose the document you wish to share with students and change the sharing settings to “Anyone who has the link can view.” Then copy the “Link to share” that appears in the box.

Paste the link, delete the end of the URL “/edit?ups=sharing”, and replace it with “/copy”.
Share this new link with your students. If done correctly, they will be prompted to make a copy of the document when they click on it. (Students may need to log into their own Google Drive first.)
