It is Time to Hang Out with a Good Book!
For the next few days, you will take your favorite I.R. book you read this year and create a t-shirt for our bulletin board. You will also include a QR code on your t-shirt that will link people to a video about your book. Next year, your book recommendations will be prominently displayed in the hallway to help the new 6th graders pick out excellent I.R. books.
Part 1: Select your favorite IR book you read this year.

Part 2: Create a trailer in iMovie
Using your key words from Part 1 as a guide, you are going to create a trailer that entices someone to read your book. Remember, this short trailer should persuade the viewer to read the book without giving away the ending.
**You must complete your iMovie trailer before you start part 3!**

Part 2: Create a trailer in iMovie
Using your key words from Part 1 as a guide, you are going to create a trailer that entices someone to read your book. Remember, this short trailer should persuade the viewer to read the book without giving away the ending.
- Open iMovie and select which trailer style you would like to use.
- Open the storyboard in Schoology for your selected trailer style and fill it out. Write the text to be displayed on the lines and make notes of what kind of images you will include.
- Based on your notes in the storyboard, search for your images and save them to the camera roll. You can use images more than once, but you should plan to have at least 10 different images total.
- Go back to iMovie and start adding your text and photos to your trailer.
- Export your trailer to your camera roll when you are finished.

Steps for iMovieStep 1: Pick a trailer theme that best suites the mood of your book.
Step 2: Print and fill out the your storyboard BEFORE you begin working on your iMovie trailer.
Step 3: Download and save the pictures you will need for your iMovie to your camera roll.
Step 4: Open up iMovie and begin to input the pictures and text into the iMovie storyboard.
Step 5: Preview the project. If it looks good and you are done, export the video to your camera roll.
