Step 1: Create Calendars in Safari
1. Open up Safari and go to Google.com. Tap the "Sign in" button that appears on the menu.
2. Log in using your school email and password.
3. After signing in, choose the "More" option from the menu, then select "Calendar"
4. Your screen should then look like the image on the left. If it looks like the image on the right, choose the "Desktop" view at the bottom of the screen.
5. Tap on the down-arrow to view the pop-up window. Tap on "Create new calendar"
6. Type in one of your classes where it says "Calendar Name:" then tap on the "Create Calendar" button. Repeat step 5 and 6 for all of your classes (Math, Science, Social Studies, ELA, Related Arts, P.E., World Language/A.S./ESL).
Change the Colors of the Calendars
1. To view all of your calendars. Tap on the gray triangle that appears to the LEFT of "My Calendars." The drop-down arrow that gives you access to the color choices exists, but it invisible until you tap on it. Tap in the space where the arrow should appear. Choose the color you each of your calendars to be.
2. Once you have chosen the colors, you can close Safari. (Warning: Colors on the calendar app will not match these exact colors.)
Using the Calendar App
1. To add a homework assignment or event, tap on the "+" in the top-right corner of the screen. Type in the event or homework assignment in the "Title" box.
2. Choose "All-Day" for homework assignments (otherwise set the time for the event).
3. For Homework, choose the Calendar that corresponds with the course. For an event (i.e. Picture Day) choose the calendar that is your name or email.
